Our Boys Brigade will meet on Thursday night in Rorison.

Our Open Day took place yesterday and raised the sum of £1100.00. Once again grateful thanks go to everyone who worked hard to help raise this great sum of money.

It has been brought to our notice that when the Church money is being counted on a Sunday that there are a number of occasions when people enter the room where this is taking place. These interruptions are extremely disturbing to those counting the money so can we please ask that no one enters the room until the counting of the money is completed.

In Hamilton Hall there is a box of items for sale from St Andrew’s Hospice. Please have a look at the items in question and help to raise funds for a very good cause.

Items for the June Newsletter must be in the hands of the Editor by today.
Our Saturday Teas start this Saturday from 12noon – 4pm.

Our Girls Brigade are off to camp on Friday. We wish them a wonderful weekend and ask for God’s Blessing on the Officers and Girls who will attend.

Our love and congratulations go to Rae Hunter who celebrated her 70th Birthday on Tuesday.

Hymn — MP708 To God be the glory
Introduced by Minnie Simpson

Mine eyes have seen the glory
of the coming of the Lord;
he is trampling out the vintage
where the grapes of wrath are stored;
he hath loosed the fateful lightning
of his terrible swift sword;
his truth is marching on.
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.

He has sounded forth the trumpet
that shall never call retreat;
he is sifting out the hearts of men
before his judgment seat;
O be swift, my soul, to answer him;
be jubilant, my feet!
Our God is marching on.

In the beauty of the lilies
Christ was born across the sea,
with a glory in his bosom
that transfigures you and me;
as he died to make men holy,
let us live to make men free,
while God is marching on.

The B-I-B-L-E
Yes that’s the book for me.
I stand alone on the Word of God
The B-I-B-L-E.
The B-I-B-L-E
I’ll take along with me,
I’ll read and pray and then obey,
The B-I-B-L-E.

By F-A-I-T-H,
I’m S-A-V-E-D,
I’ll stand alone
on the Word of God,
The B-I-B-L-E.

The B-L-O-O-D
That Jesus shed for me,
Cleansed me from sin,
I belong to Him,
The B-L-O-O-D.
“In Christ alone my hope is found;
He is my light, my strength, my song;
This cornerstone, this solid ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My comforter, my all in all—
Here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone, Who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless babe!
This gift of love and righteousness,
Scorned by the ones He came to save.
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied;
For ev’ry sin on Him was laid—
Here in the death of Christ I live.

There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain;
Then bursting forth in glorious day,
Up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory,
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me;
For I am His and He is mine—
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.

No guilt in life, no fear in death—
This is the pow’r of Christ in me;
From life’s first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No pow’r of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home—
Here in the pow’r of Christ I’ll stand.”
