Intimations Sunday 11th February

A warm welcome is extended to any visitors to our service today. Soup, tea and coffee will be served in Hamilton Hall after the service and you are invited to join us for a short time of fellowship together.

Bible study will meet tomorrow in Hamilton Hall at 11am.

Our Girls Brigade will not meet tomorrow night due to the school holiday weekend.

Our Guild will meet on Wednesday night in Rorison when the topic will be “The Lamps gone out” Children 1st

Our Boys Brigade will meet on Thursday night in Rorison.

This year’s subscription for Life and Work is due. Cost £28 payable to the Treasurer Bruce Archibald.

Can those Elders who have a district please return their plastic folders to Joanna Gilchrist for the March Newsletters. Many thanks.

Help is needed to make the Lenten Cross from the Christmas tree. This is needed for next sun day, the first Sunday in Lent. Eric Budgell has volunteered to help but he would require one if two more to give him a hand. If you can help please speak to Eric at the end of the Service or phone Kay on 01698 882499

Any items for the March Newsletter must be in the hands of the Editor by today.

It is with deep regret we have to announce the death of Bob Clark. Bob’s funeral will take place here in Dalserf on 20th February at 2.30pm and Daldowie Crematorium at 3.45. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bob’s daughter and family.

It has been brought to our notice that some of the new Hymnals may have some pages missing. If whilst using one on a Sunday you notice this or any other mistakes can you please give to Kay at the end of the service.

It is with great sadness we have to announce the death of Valerie Holmes.
Valerie died suddenly on Tuesday in Wishaw General Hospital.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
Valerie was an integral part of our congregation and will be greatly missed.
Her Funeral will take place on Thursday 1st February here in Dalserf at 2.15 and then South Lanarkshire Crematorium at 3.30, later at the Popinjay.

It is also with regret we have to inform you of the death of Sam Allan
Who passed away in Rawyard Nursing Home Airdrie.

I am delighted to report that Joan has successfully had her surgery and is recovering well. She came home from hospital yesterday and is now being pampered by Andy. Our thoughts and prayers are with her for a speedy recovery and seeing her back amongst us again.

Congratulations to Karyn Scotland who, at her very first supper very ably addressed the Haggis at the Guild Burns Supper on Wednesday Night. Well done Karyn.
Also Congratulations to Emma Gilchrist who has once again gained a
Best Performance in athletics
Well done to both girls regular attenders at SPF.

News letters are available for collection today

Services will take place next Sunday, 4th February, here in Dalserf at 11.30am and then in Rorison at 2.30pm, conducted by Rev John Stevenson.

Friends of Girls Brigade are holding a fundraising race night on Friday 2nd February in Dalserf Bowling Club. Tickets are £2.50 and available on Monday night at GB or phone me on 889666
