Intimations Sunday 30th June

A warm welcome is extended to any visitors to our service today. Thank you again to Razvan for playing for us. Tea and coffee will be served in Hamilton Hall after the service and you are invited to join us for a short time of fellowship together.

Each Sunday morning in Hamilton Hall at 11.15am, there is a short time of prayer and meditation. Please feel free to come and join us you will be made very welcome.

Larkhall Jubilee Club will meet on 4th Tuesday of the month from 2pm – 3.30pm in Raploch Bowling Club Raploch Street Larkhall. If you are a carer of someone with dementia or you know someone who would benefit from coming to a friendly social afternoon to enjoy music, laughter and friendship please come along you will be made very welcome.

Our Saturday Teas yesterday raised £512.60

Ann Brown’s son Alastair is still in hospital having had surgery on Tuesday. Ann asked me to pass on her thanks and appreciation to everyone who has telephoned and sent cards.

Wendy Manson’s Mum has had her surgery after her fall but had developed a chest infection. Please keep Wendy and her Mum in your thoughts and prayers.

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY
There will be an exhibition of paintings at Fives Court Low Parks Museum, Hamilton from 1st July – 17th November. Admission is free and features their own collection with loans from the National Galleries of Scotland and The Royal Scottish Academy.

SUMMER SHORT WALKING EVENT
Drama Kirk presents a dramatized walk, bringing to life Moses and the Israelites wandering the desert in an exciting journey. You will walk with some well-known bible characters and see dramatisations of temptations, trials and miracles. The walk is less than a mile and the event will last an hour, but does include one steep incline. It takes place on Saturday 10th August in Chatelherault Country Park at 10am, Noon and 3pm. Tickets are free.

GLASGOW LIGHT OPERA CLUB
On Friday 30th August the above present A MUSICAL EXTRAVAGANZA in Hamilton Old Parish Church at 7.30pm. Tickets are £7.00 and include refreshments.
ALSO
From 23rd – 26th October they will perform ALL SHOOK UP in the Kings Theatre Glasgow. A Shakespearean story adapted and inspired by and featuring the songs of Elvis Presley. Ticket prices from £12.00. Details can be found on poster in Hamilton Hall

The arrangements for Margaret Wilsons Funeral are 12.15 at Dorricotts Funeral Parlour in Larkhall on Tuesday 2nd July. Thereafter at South Lanarkshire Crematorium at 1.15.
We continue to remember the family in our Prayers at this sad time.

DALSERF CHURCH NEWS

Week Beginning 4th July 2019

Sunday Worship on 7th July, will take place in Dalserf Church at 11.30am. The Service will be conducted by Revd John Stevenson.

On Saturday our Teas take place in Hamilton Hall, Dalserf Village from 12 noon – 4pm. We will meet every Saturday till 31st August. Come along and join us and enjoy good food, good company and Christian Fellowship.

This Friday 28th June we will visit the Nursing Homes. Clinton House 1.45pm followed by Ballantine Court 2.15pm and 2.45pm. If you are able to join us for one or all three you will be made very welcome. This will be our last visit till Friday 27th September.

BEREAVEMENT
It is with deep sorrow that we intimate the death of Margaret Wilson. Margaret died on Friday in Wishaw General. Margaret was a faithful member of our Congregation, Guild, Focus, House Group and Sunday Prayer Group
We extend our deepest sympathy to her husband John and family and remember them in our thoughts and prayers. There are no funeral arrangements as yet.

Margaret Wilson has been admitted to Ward 10 Wishaw General Hospital. Please keep Margaret in your thoughts and prayers.

Staying with our Saturday teas, as well as the delicious baking that is done, we also have to purchase filter coffee, pats of butter and sugar etc. from the Cash and Carry. If you feel that you can financially help with the purchase of these items, please speak to Rae Hunter as she very kindly handles this for us. Any donations will be greatly received.
