Intimations Sunday 27th August

There are welcome cards at the end of the pews. If you are a visitor please fill in one of these and place it in the offering plate. Tea and coffee will be served in Hamilton Hall after the service and you are invited to join us for a short time of fellowship together.

Our Saturday Teas yesterday raised the sum of £488.14. Giving us a grand total of £5600.00

Our Girls Brigade will meet tomorrow night in Rorison

Our Open Day will take place on Saturday from 11.30am – 3pm. There will be the usual stalls and all offers of help will be gratefully appreciated.

Robert Clarkson has been in hospital. He is now home and recovering. We remember both him and Rosemay in our prayers.

We extend our grateful thanks to Julian Hodgson who has very kindly stepped in to play for us today and next Sunday.

Our Saturday Teas yesterday raised the sum of £532.17

Our Kirk Session met with the Review Committee on Tuesday. The meeting was very successful and the committee were very impressed with the work that is being done here in Dalserf. We now wait for their report to go to the Presbytery. Anyone wishing to discuss this further, please speak to myself or any of the Elders.

There will be a Fabric Committee meeting on Tuesday in Hamilton Hall at 7.30pm.

Our Girls Brigade will enrol tomorrow night between 6.30pm and 7.30pm. in Rorison.

Brian Lowry the leader of Kids Alive has apparently been ill and is now recuperating on the island of Skye. He has asked for us to keep him in our thoughts and prayers at this time. He is hoping to be well enough for Kids Alive to start back on Monday 4th September.

Our Saturday Teas yesterday raised the sum of £431.00
Only two weeks left to support this great effort. Come along and join us on 19th and 26th August and give one last push to our summer 2017 effort.

The funeral of Mr Jimmy Lawrie will take place here in Dalserf tomorrow at 1.15pm and thereafter at Carnwath Cemetery.

The Kirk Session will meet with the Review Committee in Hamilton Hall this coming Tuesday at 4pm.

Any items for the September newsletter must be in the hands of the Editor today.

Our Saturday Teas yesterday raised the sum of £432.25

It is with sadness that we intimate the death of Jack McGhie, Linda Marshall’s Dad, yesterday morning. The funeral arrangements are not yet know.

Nancy Rundell, on behalf of Christian aid would like to thank all the Collectors and those who donated to such a worthwhile cause. The sum of £6053.68 was raised in the Larkhall Area.

Philip and Shena Fox wish to thank everyone who helped or attended the Cantilena Concert on Tuesday 4th July. £385.00 was donated to the Islay Festival und and a donation of £76.40 made to Dalserf Church.

In Hamilton Hall there is a box of items for sale from St Andrew’s Hospice. Please have a look at the items in question and help to raise funds for a very good cause.

It is with deep sadness that we intimate the death of Cathie Yuille on Thursday. Cathie’s funeral will take place here in Dalserf on Thursday at 2.30pm and thereafter at Larkhall Cemetery.

In Hamilton Hall there is a box of items for sale from St Andrew’s Hospice. Please have a look at the items in question and help to raise funds for a very good cause.

This coming Tuesday at 7.30pm there will be a Summer Concert at Dalserf featuring “ Cantilena String Ensemble” directed by Angus Ramsay & Scot Mitchell and the “New Life Singers” led by Philip Fox. Admission by donation (£6 suggested) – proceeds to support the Islay Music Festival.
