Our Guild will meet on Wednesday in Rorison at 7.15pm when the speaker will be Janice Ross reading from her book “NOT MISS WHITLIEBURN” and talking on growing up in Cambuslang and Rutherglen.

Focus will meet on Thursday in Rorison at 1.30pm when the speaker will be Jessie Shaw

The Harvest Offering last week was £420.00. Thanks to everyone who generously contributed to this amount which will be sent to the local Food Bank

On Saturday 8th October the Church of Scotland Guild will hold its annual gathering in the Assembly Hall in Edinburgh. The event will also be livestreamed you are invited to join us here on Saturday morning from 10:30 am for a day of praise, fellowship and inspiration.

This will take place this coming Saturday 1st October 2022 in Bellshill Baptist Church. A flier concerning this can be seen on the notice board outside and Hamilton Hall. Please try to attend this if you can, as you would be supporting a very good cause. If you are planning to attend this, can you please let me know as Bill would like numbers in advance of Saturday

There will be no Girls Brigade on Monday 19th September due to the National Day of Mourning and State Funeral of Her Majesty The Queen.
We will also be off on Monday 26th September due to the September weekend holiday.
While this is not a great start to our new session, we did meet on Monday 12th when we spent time reflecting on the life and service of our late Queen Elizabeth.
We are delighted to have 27 in our company and thank you for your continued support and prayers.

We also add to our prayer list Chanti Raju Karini of the Good News Ministry for Widows in S.E. India. Chanti has been unwell and we pray that he makes a full recovery and continues with the much needed work he does in India.

CONDOLENCES FOR HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II
A Book of Condolence is on the Communion Table and can be signed after the Service.
The Book will also be available at Rorison Church from 3.00pm -4.00pm and again this evening here in Dalserf from 7.30 – 9.00pm. A time for silent prayers and reflection will also take place here in Dalserf from 8.00 – 9.00pm

GOOD NEWS MINISTRY FUND RAISING CONCERT.

GIRLS’ BRIGADE will resume this Monday in Rorison
Explorers — 6.30 – 7.30
Juniors and Brigaders — 7.00 – 8.30
A successful enrolment evening took place when 23 girls registered for the new session. A most encouraging result after the circumstances of the last couple of years.
We pray this number will increase in the coming weeks and hold the girls, Captain Ann Price, her 5 Officers and every home represented, in thought and prayer.

DUKE OF EDINBURGH
Karyn Scotland and Ellie Rodger have their qualifying expedition this weekend. We pray the girls have had a safe and enjoyable time making lots of great memories. – Ann Price, Captain

GUILD will resume this Wednesday in Rorison Sanctuary at 7.15pm. In line with advice from National Guild during the Church of Scotland time of mourning for our Late Queen Elizabeth the Guild will still meet on Wednesday. However this will be a time of Prayer and Reflection. The representative from the National Project “Chocolate Heaven” has been cancelled. Please come along and share your thoughts, memories and emotions with each other. Anyone wishing to join us at this meeting will be more than welcome.
