Intimations Sunday 25th August 2019

A warm welcome is extended to any visitors to our service today. Tea and coffee will be served in Hamilton Hall after the service and you are invited to join us for a short time of fellowship together.

Each Sunday morning in Hamilton Hall at 11.15am there is a short time of prayer and meditation. Please feel free to come and join us you will be made very welcome.

Our Girls Brigade will meet tomorrow night in Rorison. Explorers met at 6.30 – 7.30. All other sections at 7.00 – 8.30. The re-dedication service will take place in Rorison on Monday 2nd Sept from 7.00 – 7.30 when Duke of Edinburgh Awards will also be presented.

There will be a Kirk Session Meeting in Rorison on Tuesday at 7.30pm

This Friday 30th August Glasgow Light Opera Club present A MUSICAL EXTRAVAGANZA in Hamilton Old Parish Church at 7.30pm Tickets are £7.00 and include refreshments.

There will be a service in Rorison next Sunday 1st September at 2.30pm

Our Saturday Teas yesterday raised £456.25

Our Open Day will take place on Saturday 7th September. There will be the usual stalls. Donations for these will be gratefully received.

Jubilee Club Larkhall
The Larkhall Jubilee Club for dementia patients and their carers will meet in Raploch Bowling Club on Tuesday 27th August at 2.00pm. If you are interested or know someone who may benefit from an afternoon of friendship and musical entertainment please speak to Kay Blair

The flowers this week were gifted by Mrs L McDonald. The flowers next week will be gifted by Mrs J McPhee.

We are now able to advise the Congregation that the sale of the Manse has been completed and is no longer the property of the Church.

The Flowers this week were gifted by Mrs Hunter & Mrs Pollok. Next week the flowers will be gifted by Mrs L. McDonald

September newsletters will be available for uplift in the Church next Sunday 25th August.

Quiz Evening
St Machan’s Church is hosting a quiz evening on Saturday 14th September and invites teams of 4 to enter. We are looking for entrants from Dalserf Church. If interested please speak to Kay Blair or Ann Carson

Sunday Worship on 24th August, will take place in Dalserf Church at 11.30am. The Service will be conducted by Revd David Doyle.

Austin is the son of Owen and Jayne Henderson-Hamilton and we warmly welcome all their family and friends.

This coming Thursday 8th August Stonehouse Jubilee Club Holiday Rocks Summer-time Show. Doors open 1pm. Guests will be made very welcome. Entry fee is £3.00
There will be some stalls including cake and candy as well as entertainment. It is a summer time show so dress in your most dazzling summer time wear and be taken back to the golden days of the holiday camp show. All proceeds will go to the works of the Stonehouse Jubilee Club

This coming Saturday 10th August
Drama Kirk presents a dramatized walk, bringing to life Moses and the Israelites wandering the desert in an exciting journey. You will walk with some well-known bible characters and see dramatisations of temptations, trials and miracles. The walk is less than a mile and the event will last an hour, but does include one steep incline. It takes place on Saturday 10th August in Chatelherault Country Park at 10am, Noon and 3pm. Tickets are free.

Any items for the September Newsletter must be in the hands of the Editor by next Sunday 11th August.

Our love and congratulations go to Prim and Andrew Gilmour who celebrated their Golden Wedding on Thursday 1st August. We wish them many more happy years together.

Admission is free and features their own collection with loans from the National Galleries of Scotland and The Royal Scottish Academy. Further information from Mike Taylor.
