Intimations Sunday 29th September

A warm welcome is extended to any visitors to our service today. Tea and coffee will be served in Hamilton Hall after the service and you are invited to join us for a short time of fellowship together.

Each Sunday morning in Hamilton Hall at 11.15am there is a short time of prayer and meditation. Please feel free to come and join us, you will be made very welcome.

Bible study will meet tomorrow in Hamilton Hall at 11am

Girls Brigade will not meet tomorrow night due to the holiday weekend.

Focus will meet on Thursday at 1.45pm when the Speaker will be Mrs Rita Fairley.

Next Sunday here in Dalserf will be our Harvest Service. Please bring along any non-perishable items for the Harvest Table. These will be delivered to the Food Bank in Larkhall. There will also be a Harvest Service at Rorison at 2.30pm.

Wishaw Old Parish Church presents Columban Singers Male Voice Choir Thursday 10th October 7.30pm in the Church. Tickets £7.00 includes a light supper available from the Church Café. Poster on notice board.

It is that time of year again and whilst Christmas is still some months away, the Shoebox Appeal has to get under way. Kay has the details for this. The boxes have to be filled and be here in the Church for the last Sunday in October 27th. We will then take them for delivery on Friday 1st November.

DALSERF CHURCH NEWS

Week Beginning 3rd October 2019

Focus meets this afternoon, 3rd October, at 1.45pm in Rorison Church Ashgill when the speaker will be Mrs Rita Fairlie

Sunday Worship on 6th October, will take place in Dalserf Church at 11.30am and Rorison Church Ashgill at 2.30pm. Harvest Thanksgiving will be celebrated at both Services and will be conducted by Revd John Stevenson.

Bible Study meets on Monday 7th October in Hamilton Hall at 11.00am

Girls’ Brigade also meets in Rorison meets on Monday 7th Oct in Rorison Church.
Explorers 6.30 – 7.30. All other sections meet from 7.00- 8.30. All girls from age P1 – S6 will be made welcome.

The Guild meets in Rorison Church on 9th Oct at 7.15pm when we will hear about the Free to Live Trust.

Dalserf Primary School Autumn Fayre is on Sat 21st Sept 1pm – 4pm. Donations of baking would be gratefully received and can be handed in to the school on Ftiday 20th or between 12nooon & 1pm on the 21st.

Claire Walker is unwell and at present in hospital. Please keep Claire in your thoughts and prayers.

Our Girls Brigade will meet tomorrow night in Rorison. The rededication of the Company will take place at 7.00-7.30pm conducted by Revd. John Stevenson. Duke of Edinburgh Awards will also be presented. Please come along and support our Girls’ Brigade Company

Our Saturday Teas yesterday raised £441.45 This makes a grand total of £7323.84. Our grateful thanks go to Kay Blair for her co-ordinating of the Teas. To Rae Hunter for her many visits to the Cash and Carry. To everyone who baked, served washed dishes and took in money. To those people who donated money and baking ingredients. Without these people this money would not have been raised. So our very grateful thanks to these and our many visitors over the summer.

Our Open Day will take place this Saturday 7th September. There will be the usual stalls for which donations will be gratefully received.

Sheena Archibald hip replacement surgery has been a success and Sheena is now home from hospital. Rae Hunter has also had a short stay in hospital after an accident. Please keep both ladies progress in your thoughts and prayers.

St Machan’s Quiz. We have one team entered under the leadership of Nancy Rundell. However today is the closing date so if another team comes forward today it is not too late to register. If interested please phone Kay on 01698 882499

Our Girls Brigade will meet tomorrow night in Rorison. Explorers met at 6.30 – 7.30. All other sections at 7.00 – 8.30. The re-dedication service will take place in Rorison on Monday 2nd Sept from 7.00 – 7.30 when Duke of Edinburgh Awards will also be presented.

There will be a Kirk Session Meeting in Rorison on Tuesday at 7.30pm

This Friday 30th August Glasgow Light Opera Club present A MUSICAL EXTRAVAGANZA in Hamilton Old Parish Church at 7.30pm Tickets are £7.00 and include refreshments.

There will be a service in Rorison next Sunday 1st September at 2.30pm

Our Saturday Teas yesterday raised £456.25

Jubilee Club Larkhall
The Larkhall Jubilee Club for dementia patients and their carers will meet in Raploch Bowling Club on Tuesday 27th August at 2.00pm. If you are interested or know someone who may benefit from an afternoon of friendship and musical entertainment please speak to Kay Blair
