All people that on earth do dwell,
Sing to the Lord with cheerful voice;
Him serve with love, his praise forth tell,
Come we before him, and rejoice.

Know that the Lord is God indeed;
Without our aid he did us make;
We are his folk, he doth us feed,
And for his sheep he doth us take.

O enter then his gates with praise;
Approach with joy his courts unto;
Praise, laud, and bless his Name always,
For it is seemly so to do.

For why? the Lord our God is good:
His mercy is for ever sure;
His truth at all times firmly stood,
And shall from age to age endure.

A little Child the Saviour came,
The Mighty God was still His Name;
And angels worshiped as He lay
The seeming Infant of a day.

He Who, a little Child, began
To show the world God’s loving plan.
Proclaims from Heaven the message free;
“Let little children come to Me.”

We bring them, Lord, and with the sign
Of sprinkled water name them Thine;
Their souls with saving grace endow;
Baptize them with Thy Spirit now.

O give Thine angels charge, good Lord,
Them safely in Thy way to guard;
Thy blessing on their lives command,

Amazing grace, How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now I am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved.
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come,
‘Tis grace has brought me safe thus far
And grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.

We welcome Revd Gauld back to our pulpit today.

The Baptism of Claire Park, her son Logan and daughter Molly will take place at our service today. We welcome Claire, Logan, Molly, family and friends to our Service

There will be no tea and coffee in Hamilton Hall till further notice.

New guidelines from Scottish Government and Church of Scotland concerning Worship have been released this week.
These can be found on both the Government Web Site and the Church of Scotland Covid advice site.

Main points for us are
• Face coverings must be worn at all times in the church buildings.
• Face coverings may be removed to read the Lesson, make announcements and deliver the Sermon. However they should be replaced to move from one area to another.
• Congregations are strongly advised to take care in mingling and close proximity to others and as such should try to maintain a degree of distancing whilst in the buildings.
• Guidelines exist for notifying authorities of positive tests following a church meeting.

Let’s do all we can to protect each other by respecting the virus, being vigilant and holding each other in prayer.

We are still looking for volunteers to operate the new recording system which will hopefully be installed during the incoming week. Full training will be given. Please speak to myself if you are interested

The funeral of the late Roberta Meikle’s will take place in South Lanarkshire Crematorium on Wednesday 15th September at 3.00pm. The Service will be conducted by Revd John Stevenson.

O WORSHIP the King, All glorious above;
O gratefully sing His power and his love:

My song is love unknown,
My Saviour’s love to me;
Love to the loveless shown
That they might lovely be.
O who am I, That for my sake
My Lord should take frail flesh, and die?
He came from His blest throne
Salvation to bestow;
But people scorned, and none
The longed-for Christ would know:
But oh, my Friend, my Friend indeed,
Who at my need His life did spend.
Sometimes they strew His way,
And His sweet praises sing;
Resounding all the day hosannas to their King:
Then “Crucify!” is all their breath,

Our service today is being conducted by Revd Bev Gauld and we extend a very warm Dalserf welcome to him.
The Kirk Session have agreed to the installation of a recording system in Dalserf Church. This is to enable those people who are unable to attend the Church to view the service on the Website. We are looking for four people to undergo training on the system. Training will be given by George Price. If you are interested please contact the Session Clerk Joan Pollok or the Deputy Session Clerk Kay Blair.
Our service next week will be conducted by Rev Bev Gauld. The Sacrament of Baptism will take place at this service.
