Intimations Sunday 1st March 2020

A warm welcome is extended to any visitors to our Communion service today.

The Funeral of Mrs Anna Baillie will take place in Dalserf on Wednesday 4th March at 10.15am and thereafter at Daldowie Crematorium at 11.45. This will be conducted by Revd John Stevenson.

House Group will meet tomorrow at 1.30pm

The Gathering will meet on Tuesday in Hamilton Hall at 12.30. Soup, tea and biscuits will be provided. Please bring along any other eats you may require.

Girls Brigade will meet tomorrow here in Rorison. The Girls Brigade Pancake night last Monday was a great success and the sum of £445 was raised. The Captain Ann Price wishes to express her thanks to those members from Dalserf who came along and supported them.

Focus will meet on Thursday here in Rorison at 1.45pm. The speaker will be Revd Steven Reid from Crossford Church.

This Friday 6th March will be World Day of Prayer held this year in Trinity Church Larkhall at 2pm. The Service has been written by the Christian women of Zimbabwe.

St Andrew’s Hospice have asked us to display their poster advertising their Make a Will Month. Poster on the notice board.

Our Love and Congratulations go to Mrs Rita Fairley who celebrates her 80th Birthday tomorrow. Also to Mrs Nan Mathieson who celebrates her 99th Birthday on Friday.

Congratulations must also go to our Session Clerk Joan and her Husband Andy as they celebrate their Golden Wedding on 6th March.

The next service here in Rorison will be Sunday 5th April.

A warm welcome is extended to any visitors to our service today. Soup, Tea and coffee will be served in Hamilton Hall after the service and you are invited to join us for a short time of fellowship together.

The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will take place here in Dalserf next Sunday at 11.30am and then at Rorison at 2.30pm.

Each Sunday morning in Hamilton Hall there is a short time of prayer and meditation. Please feel free to come and join us, you will be made very welcome.

Our Guild will meet on Wednesday in Rorison when the speaker will be Louise Lawrie Life through my camera lens.

Our local Nursing Homes will be visited this Friday. Clinton House at 1.45pm followed by Ballantine Court at 2.15pm and 2.45pm. Please try to come along and support this. The residents of the homes would love to see you.

The Lanarkshire District Fellowship of The Boys Brigade has partnered with two local Lanarkshire charities Hope for Autism, and You are My Sunshine and are producing a one-off charity concert in their aid. The concert will take place this Saturday 29th February 2020 in Dalziel St Andrews, Merry Street, Motherwell. Tickets are £5.00 Poster in Hamilton Hall.

The Graham Tour
We are still finalizing where the Graham Tour will be held, but we want to be clear that the initiative and all associated training courses will take place on the same dates as originally planned.

We are continuing to consider sites for the main event and when we have determined where the meetings will take place, we will post updates.

All Christian Life and Witness courses are proceeding as scheduled.

The contract that is in place with the Hydro is being reviewed and so to ensure everything goes ahead as planned other venues are being put in place as alternative options should a backup venue be necessary. The event is still set to go ahead on May 30th so the Gospel can be shared.

The local Christian Life and Witness course has been confirmed for The Lighthouse King Street Larkhall on Thursday 26 March 6.30pm to 9.30.

Hamilton Presbytery Guilds Together

The Gathering for Hamilton Presbytery Guilds together will take place in Dalziel St. Andrew’s Church Motherwell on Wednesday 5th February from 2.00pm – 4.00pm.
The speaker will be Thomas Baldwin, Deputy Editor of Life and Work.

GRAHAM TOUR
In connection with the visit to Glasgow on 31 May by evangelist Franklin Graham, a Christian Life and Witness Course to help church members to know how to share their faith is to be held at venues in and around Glasgow between now and then.
A class will be held at GLO Centre Motherwell on Saturday 15 February at 12.30. The class lasts 3 hours. You may just turn up on the day. You are warmly encouraged to attend this. However, depending on demand, it is hoped to hold a class at The Lighthouse King Street Larkhall on Thursday 26 March 6.30pm to 9.30 or Saturday 28 March 10.00am to 1.00pm. If one or other of these dates and times would suit you better, please inform Revd. John Stevenson, which date you would prefer or (ideally) that either date would suit.
