Intimations Sunday 30th September

A warm welcome is extended to any visitors to our service today. Tea and coffee will be served in Hamilton Hall after the service and you are invited to join us for a short time of fellowship together. Our service today will be conducted by Philip Fox. John is unfortunately unwell, but hopes to be recovered by next Sunday.

Bible study will meet in Hamilton Hall tomorrow at 11am

House Group will meet tomorrow at 1.30pm

Our Girls Brigade will meet tomorrow night in Rorison

Wednesday in Hamilton Hall at 7.30pm. There will be an evening with Katherine Sanders Iconographer. The theme of the evening is. The Art of ICONS and their place in Eastern Orthodox Worship. Refreshments will be served. Admission is free but donations will be welcome.

Focus will meet on Thursday when the speaker will be Jessie Shaw.

Next Sunday 7th October will be our Harvest Service here in Dalserf at 11.30am and then in Rorison at 2.30pm. Please bring along a gift for the Harvest table. Can we please ask that the gifts brought are non-perishable. Can we also ask for some help in bagging and delivering on the Monday to the Foodbank in Larkhall. They are expecting us around 10.45am.

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

There will be a Service of Thanksgiving on Wednesday 24th October at 1.30pm in Trinity Church Larkhall. This is for all the support that has been received by the Foodbank in the five years that it has been in operation. Tea, coffee and home baking will be served in the hall afterwards. If you are interested in attending this service, please let me know as they wish to have an idea of the number of people for catering purposes. Also the Foodbank Management Team are looking for volunteers to cover the Foodbank when it is open on Tuesdays 10.30am – 1.30pm and on Fridays 10.30am – 2.30pm. Sunday 11th November is Remembrance Sunday. Services will take place at Netherburn Cenotaph at 10.45am Ashgill Cenotaph at 11am and then at Dalserf Church at 11.30am.
There will be a retiring offering on Sunday 4th November (Communion) and Sunday 11th November going to the Earl Haig Fund.

Our Girls Brigade will not meet tomorrow night.

There will be a meeting of the Kirk Session on Tuesday night in Rorison at 7.30pm.

Our Guild will meet on Wednesday in Rorison when the speaker will be Moyra Cryer on the subject of “People I have met on my journey.”

Our Boys Brigade will not meet this Thursday.

The Nursing Homes will be visited on Friday Clinton House at 1.45pm and Ballantine Court Unit one at 2.15pm and 2.45pm.

Jessie Anderson is now home from hospital.

OUR CONGREGATION

Jessie Anderson has had a fall and is now back in Wishaw General, Ward 10.
Morag Watt now home and recovering from an appendectomy.
Kath Kelly has been involved in a car accident on M74 on Wednesday last week. However she is ok and now in Toronto.
Margaret Kerr, one of our guild ladies has also been in hospital.

Boys Brigade meet 13th Sept in Rorison Church Ashgill fort Junior Section boys, Primary 4-P7

The elderly couple who were married here on Monday 3rd September have expressed their grateful thanks to Dalserf Church for helping to make their wedding a great success.

This coming Saturday 15th September Overtown Parish Church presents,
‘The Bearsden Fiddlers’.
Time is 7.30pm cost £8.00 this includes a glass of wine and savouries.

Our Open Day yesterday raised the sum of £1350.00. Once again grateful thanks to those who worked hard to raise this sum.

Boys Brigade resume this evening 6th Sept in Rorison Church Ashgill
Sunday Worship on 9th September will take place in Dalserf Church at 11.30am conducted by Rev John Stephenson. The choir will meet in Dalserf at 10.30am
Monday 10th September Bible Study will be held in Hamilton Hall, Dalserf at 11.00am
Girls’ Brigade also meet on Monday 10th September in Rorison Church Ashgill.
Wednesday 12th September is the opening night of the Guild for Session 2018 – 19 in Rorison Church, Ashgill at 7.15pm. Speaker for the evening is Rev John Stevenson
