Intimations Sunday 5th May 2019

A warm welcome is extended to any visitors to our service today. Tea and coffee will be served in Hamilton Hall after the service and you are invited to join us for a short time of fellowship together. There will be a service in Rorison today at 2.30pm.

Each Sunday morning in Hamilton Hall at 11.15am, there is a short time of prayer and meditation. Please feel free to come and join us you will be made very welcome.

Bible study will meet tomorrow in Hamilton Hall at 11am.
House Group will meet tomorrow at 1.30pm.

Our Open Day took place yesterday and raised £1500,00. Thanks to all who helped with this wonderful achievement. Our Teasurer, Bruce Archibald, believes this is a record number of visitotrs to our Open Day with over 122 Teas being served. Whilst the raising of this sum of money is wonderful, much more so is the love and Christian Fellowship that we share one with another.

On Saturday our Teas begin in Hamilton Hall from 12 noon – 4pm. We will meet every Saturday from 11th May till 31st August. Our September Open Day will then be Saturday 7th September.

Any items for the June Newsletter must be in the hands of the Editor by next Sunday 12th May. This will be the last Newsletter till September. There will be no newsletter July and August.
So if you wish to have something put in please have it in the hands of the Editor by next Sunday.

The Guild Annual outing is going to Dunfermline on Saturday 25th May 2019. Anyone interested in joining us should give their name to Lily, Ann or Kay.

There will be a Kirk Session meeting on Tuesday 28th May at 7.30pm in Rorison

Our local Nursing Homes will be visited on Friday 31st May. Clinton House at 1.45pm followed by Ballantine Court Unit A at 2.15pm and then Unit B at 2.45pm.

Church News

Sunday Worship on 12th May, will take place in Dalserf Church at 11.30am. The Service will be conducted by Revd David Doyle.
The Choir will meet at 10.30am in Dalserf.

Monday 13th May Bible Study group will meet in Hamilton Hall Dalserf at 11.30am

On Saturday our Teas begin in Hamilton Hall from 12 noon – 4pm. We will meet every Saturday from 11th May till 31st August. Come along and join us and enjoy good food, good company and Christian Fellowship.

The Guild Annual outing is going to Dunfermline on Saturday 25th May 2019. There is still plenty space on the bus and anyone wishing should join us should contact any member of our Guild. The cost will be £25.00

Bible study will meet tomorrow in Hamilton Hall at 11am.

Newsletters are available for uplift today.

Our Girls Brigade go off to camp on Friday till next Sunday. I am sure that we will all be remembering the Officers and Girls in our prayers. Also hope that the weather is kind and they have a great time.

Our Open Day is on Saturday from 11.30am – 3pm. There will be the usual stalls, donations for these will be gratefully received. If you feel you can help in any way please let us know, it will be much appreciated.

There will be a service in Rorison next Sunday at 2.30pm.

Ann Carson is recovering from her new hip operation. We remember her in our thoughts and prayers and wish her a speedy recovery.

The Sacrament of Baptism will be administered today to Esme Hope Cairney daughter of Tamara Little and Dexter Cairney. We extend a warm welcome to them and their family and friends.

This Tuesday 23rd Larkhall Jubilee Club Dementia Support Group launches with a spectacular opening in Raploch Bowling Club. Full details can be found on the Church Notice Board. Flyers are also available. They will then meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.

This is the last day to give to our Easter Appeal. Please take an envelope from the basket, hang the egg on the tree and place your donation in envelope. Money raised will go to help the work of the Joint Churches Drop in Centre in Hamilton.

THE CHURCH AGM and Congregational Lunch will be held in Hamilton Hall after the service next Sunday. All members and adherents are warmly invited to share in food and fellowship. This is your opportunity to voice your opinions and to make suggestions. Please make every effort to come along and join in what is always a popular event.

Thursday 18th St Machans at 7.30pm when the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be observed.
Friday 19th Baptist Larkhall 7.30pm.
The Sacrament of Baptism will take place here in Dalserf next Sunday 21st

IAN WHITE CONCERT
There will be an Ian White concert on Saturday 20th April in Larkhall Baptist Church at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5.00 for adults. Children free. Pay at door. Ian for the past two years has worked with physically and mentally handicapped adults helping them to play together as an orchestra, it is a very moving experience to see them.

BEREAVEMENT
It is with sadness we report the death of May Greenhill. May passed away, peacefully, on Thursday. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family. May’s funeral will take place in Dalserf on Tuesday 23rd April at 12 noon and then at Daldowie at 1pm.

Saturday Teas: There will be a meeting to discuss the Saturday Teas this Wednesday in Rorison at 7pm.
If you feel that you can help in any way with this, please come along. Help is needed with the baking, serving, taking money and washing up. The Teas bring in a lot of money to our Church but more importantly people come for the wonderful Christine Fellowship. So, it is important that we in Dalserf work together on this and give of our time and talents to make it a success yet again this year.
