Our Open Day will take place on Saturday Sept. 1st. from 11.30 – 3.00pm
Our Girls Brigade tomorrow night in Rorison
Fabric Committee will meet on Wednesday night in Hamilton Hall nat 7.30pm
The monthly services in Rorison will commence again next Sunday, 2nd. September at 2.30pm

DALSERF CHURCH NEWS

Week Beginning 30th August 2018

Girls’ Brigade meet on Monday 27th August in Rorison Church Ashgill.

Our Church Open Day will take place on Saturday 1st September with the usual teas and stalls.
Please come along and enjoy a day of good home baking and fellowship

Sunday Worship on 2nd September will take place in Dalserf Church at 11.30am and Rorison at 2.30pm. Both Services will be conducted by Rev John Stephenson.
The choir will meet in Dalserf at 10.30am

Bible Study returns on Monday 3rd Sept in Hamilton Hall at 11.00am

Focus returns on Thursday 6th Sept in Rorison at 1.45pm when the speaker will be Rev John Stephenson.

Wednesday 12th September is the opening night of the Guild for Session 2018 – 19 Speaker for the evening is Rev John Stevenson

A warm welcome is extended to any visitors to our service today. Tea and coffee will be served in Hamilton Hall after the service and you are invited to join us for a short time of fellowship together.

Saturday Teas yesterday raised the sum of £475.46.
This brings our total raised this year to £6,423.67.
As in the past we extend our grateful thanks to everyone who worked hard to make this amount of money possible. We do not just serve tea and cakes we extend outreach and Christian Fellowship, and I am sure this is what brings people back again and again.
Our Girls Brigade will return tomorrow night for registration from 6.30pm -7,30pm. All girls from P1 to S6 will be made most welcome.
Andrew Gilmour is now home from hospital.

Dates for your diary. Focus returns on Thursday 6th September at 1.45 in Rorison and the Guild at 7.15pm on 12th September. The speaker at both meetings will be the Rev John Stephenson.

Our Saturday Teas yesterday raised the sum of £
Next Saturday 18th August is the last Saturday of the Teas.
Our Open Day will take place on Saturday 1st September from 11am – 3pm.
Next Sunday here in Dalserf our Sunday Pathfinders will have their Prizegiving.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Dr Donald Hopkins and his family at this time due to the fact that Donald’s health is not good.
Items for the September newsletter must be in the hands of the Editor today.
Larkhall Baptist Church are having a Fun Day this Saturday 18th from 1pm – 4pm. Cost is £2.00 adults children free. The money raised will go to Alzheimer Scotland.

Monday 20th August sees the return of our girls Brigade. This will be in Rorison for enrolment between 6.30pm and 7.30pm. Girls Brigade is for all girls from Primary 1 to S6. If you are not already a member we would welcome you into our 1st Dalserf Company.

Saturday thy 18th will be the last of our summer Teas for 2018. Due to work being carried out by the Water Board we have to cancel the teas on 25th August so 18th will be your last opportunity for this session to enjoy our fellowship and hospitality.

We are currently running low on toilet rolls, tinned custard and tinned fruit as well as longlife breakfast juice, it would be a great help if you could consider donating any one of these items. All our customers are very appreciative of the help they receive from the foodbank
