Intimations Sunday 8th December 2019

A warm welcome is extended to any visitors to our service today. Soup, Tea and coffee will be served in Hamilton Hall after the service and you are invited to join us for a short time of fellowship together.

Each Sunday morning in Hamilton Hall there is a short time of prayer and meditation. Please feel free to come and join us, you will be made very welcome.

Bible study will not be on tomorrow, but we would hope to be back on the 16th.

Girls Brigade will meet tomorrow night in Rorison

Our Guild Christmas Concert with Kenny Mason and Friends will take place in Rorison on Wednesday Time 7.15pm Cost £5.00 Pay at the door. Please come along and enjoy what has proved in the past to be a great evening. The singing is great, the food is great and the Christian Fellowship is wonderful.

Today is the start of our Christmas Appeal. Please place your donation in the envelope provided. Write your name on the card and place on the Christmas Tree. The money raised will go to the Drop in Centre in Hamilton.

Next Sunday 15th December is our Gift Service here in Dalserf at 11.30am. Can we please request that your gift be placed in a Gift Bag and not wrapped, this makes it easier for the Social Work Department to check the contents. Also next Sunday evening there will a Christmas Musical Evening here in Dalserf at 7pm. This will include the choirs from both Primary Schools.

Also Sunday 15th December at 2.00pm the annual Carols in the Park will take place in Crossford just behind the Village Hall. This will be followed by hot drinks and mince pies in the Village Hall.

Many thanks and blessings to Bob and Rona Campbell who put the Christmas Star up on the outside of Rorison Church. It says the real Reason for The Season to everyone entering and leaving the village. We missed it Bob and Rona and delighted to see the star back in its rightful place. Blessings to both of you.

Week Beginning 12th Dec 2019

Sunday Worship on 15th December will take place in Dalserf Church at 11.30am and will be conducted by Revd John Stevenson. This will be our gift service when you are invited to bring a gift for a child or a young person which will be passed on to the Social work Dept for others less fortunate than ourselves. The choir will meet in Dalserf at 10.30am. A Christmas Musical Evening will take place at 7.00pm in Dalserf when the choirs from Netherburn and Dalserf Primary will take part. Fellowship will follow this service in Hamilton Hall.
Our Christmas Appeal will continue throughout the month of Dec. The money raised will go to the Drop in Centre in Hamilton.

The local Nursing Homes will be visited on Friday. Beginning with Clinton House at 1.45pm.

ROCK CHOIR in concert this Friday 29th November St Andrew’s Church Blantyre. This is an evening not to be missed. Tickets £10. Doors open 6.45pm. Concert starts at 7.30pm.

The funeral of Rae’s Mother in Law will take place tomorrow in the Co-op Funeral Parlour Larkhall at 1.15pm. Then at the Cemetery Larkhall and thereafter at the Radstone Hotel.
This will be conducted by Revd John Stevenson.

Next Sunday 1st December Claremont Parish Church in East Kilbride are presenting IMMANUEL a Christmas Evening with Melanie Penn supported by The Arcadian Wild Time is 7.30pm and there will be an offering taken during the evening. Poster on Notice Board.

St Machans Guild are holding a fashion evening by Taylor Fashions this Tuesday 19th. Tickets £3.00. Pay at the door.

Our Guild Christmas Fayre took place yesterday in Hamilton Hall and raised the sum of £1764.86
Many thanks to everyone who worked hard and supported the Guild in raising this amazing sum of money. We also give thanks for the friendship and fellowship abundant within the hall during the afternoon.

This Saturday 23rd November at 2pm St Mary’s Episcopal Church in Hamilton are hosting a LIGHTS TO REMEMBER SERVICE. You can celebrate the life of a loved one this Christmas by placing a card with their name on the Christmas tree. Tea, coffee, home made mince pies and shortbread will be available. Entry is free. This is organised by Marie Curie.

Latest report on Sadie is that she is home and doing very well.

Rae Hunter’s Mother-in –law, who is very poorly, has been taken into Hairmyers Hospital . We ask for your prayers for Mrs Hunter, Rae and the family at this worrying time.

There will be a Kirk Session meeting on Tuesday night in Rorison at 7.30pm.

Our Guild will meet on Wednesday in Rorison when the speaker will be Kay Blair on the History of the Poppy.

Our Guild Christmas Fayre will be held in Hamilton Hall on Saturday from 11.30am – 3pm. Donations for any of the stalls will be gratefully received.

Sadie’s surgery for her replacement hip has gone well. Sadly she has had an accident and brokien her wrist. Please keep Sadie in your thoughts and prayers

Lights on G1 is a charity supporting the homeless in Glasgow.
Should you wish to help there will be a basket at the Church each Sunday to receive donations such as toothbrushes, toothpaste , stick deodorant, cup a soup etc. Anyone interested can pick up a fuller list of items required from the basket.
