Intimations Sunday 14th April 2019

A warm welcome is extended to any visitors to our service today. Tea and coffee will be served in Hamilton Hall after the service and you are invited to join us for a short time of fellowship together.
Each Sunday morning in Hamilton Hall at 11.15am, there is a short time of prayer and meditation. Please feel free to come and join us you will be made very welcome.
Bible study will meet tomorrow in Hamilton Hall at 11am. This will be the beginning of Holy Week and will be led by the Revd John Stevenson.

Our local Primary Schools will hold their Easter Service here in Dalserf on Wednesday at 10am.

Items for the May Newsletter must be in the hands of the Editor today.

The Christian Outreach Group in Crossford have a Coffee and Chat Group the first Thursday of the month from 10am – 12noon. This is held in Crossford Village Hall. From Thursday 4th April there will also be a Drop in Centre for one to one consultation and support for those living with and beyond Cancer.

EASTER APPEAL

Our Annual Easter Appeal is up and running. Please take an envelope from the basket, hang the egg on the tree and place your donation in envelope. Money raised will go to help the work of the Joint Churches Drop in Centre in Hamilton.

THE CHURCH AGM and Congregational Lunch will be held in Hamilton Hall after the service on Sunday 28th April. All members and adherents are warmly invited to share in food and fellowship. This is your opportunity to voice your opinions and to make suggestions. Please make every effort to come along and join in what is always a popular event.
For catering purposes please give your name to Sheena Archibald.

HOLY WEEK SERVICES

Wednesday 17th Trinity at 7.30pm.
Thursday 18th St Machans at 7.30pm when the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be observed.
Friday 19th Baptist Larkhall 7.30pm.
The Sacrament of Baptism will take place here in Dalserf next Sunday 21st

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

IAN WHITE CONCERT
There will be an Ian White concert on Saturday 20th April in Larkhall Baptist Church at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5.00 for adults. Children free. Pay at door. Ian for the past two years has worked with physically and mentally handicapped adults helping them to play together as an orchestra, it is a very moving experience to see them.

BEREAVEMENT
It is with sadness we report the death of May Greenhill. May passed away, peacefully, on Thursday. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family. May’s funeral will take place in Dalserf on Tuesday 23rd April at 12 noon and then at Daldowie at 1pm.

APRIL
Tuesday 23rd Larkhall Jubilee Club Dementia Support Group launches with a spectacular opening in Raploch Bowling Club. Full details can be found on the Church Notice Board
Friday 26th April visits to Nursing Homes

MAY
Our Open Day will take place on Saturday 4th May, from 11.30am – 3pm There will be the usual stalls, donations for these will be gratefully received. If you feel you can help in any way please let us know it will be much appreciated.

Also our Saturday Teas will start on 11th May. If you feel you can help with this in any way please speak to Kay. If you cannot bake or be present, donations of ingredients will be gratefully received.

The Guild Annual outing is going to Dunfermline on Saturday 25th May 2019. Anyone interested in joining us should give their name to Lily, Ann or Kay. Today Sunday 14th is the last day for taking names.

The Kirk Session will meet on Tuesday in Rorison at 7.30pm.

Saturday Teas: There will be a meeting to discuss the Saturday Teas this Wednesday in Rorison at 7pm.
If you feel that you can help in any way with this, please come along. Help is needed with the baking, serving, taking money and washing up. The Teas bring in a lot of money to our Church but more importantly people come for the wonderful Christine Fellowship. So, it is important that we in Dalserf work together on this and give of our time and talents to make it a success yet again this year.
